Bring more participants to this months and every month’s webinar. Grassroots is the process of spreading the message (grass) to others. Maybe it would be better if we were a “weed” roots organization. Weeds grow faster than grass.

Join District Director & tonight’s Hostess, Barb Rudelic who will present Understanding the FairTax and our Special Topic.

In our sixth year now, Marc Manieri will return next month to resume producing and hosting our webinars.

What if the only tax you pay the federal government

is one you don’t have to calculate or report?

Only the FairTax:

  • treats everyone the same
  • let’s you keep your entire paycheck
  • pays you your taxes if you’re poor
  • doesn’t know whether you’re poor or rich
  • eliminates the IRS and 72,000 pages of tax code
  • costs the government less than 1% to collect
  • brings jobs back to the U.S.

Date of Sale:  Thursday, April 19 with a rain/snow date of Friday, April 20, 2012

Place:            1819 West Acres Road, Joliet, Illinois

Time:              9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Drop off of items:  Tuesday, April 17 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Call Carole at 815-729-2056 if you need to come at another time.

Setup date:  Wednesday, April 18.  Not sure about the time on this yet.

Items that we're looking for:  Housewares, linens, dishes, cookware, tools, fishing equipment, small appliances and  furniture.  Some Christmas things and arts and crafts items sell also.
With the Kindle and Nook becoming so popular not sure how books will go, but bring them anyway along with DVDs, games and toys.

So now it comes to the begging part:  if you have anything that you'd like to donate to this sale, please make sure it's clean and a price tag on it.  We don't bother with clothing or shoes because it's just a big hassle. Anything that we can't sell or that no interest was shown will be taken over to GoodWill.  If you donate something that you think you might want back if it doesn't sell, let us know and we'll put it aside for you to pick up by the end of the weekend.

As you may be aware, Congressman Bill Foster has made statements about the Fairtax Bill that are untrue. http://www.billfoster.com/2010/09/15/facts-fair-tax/ We want to protest in front of his office to counter his false statements and make the public aware of the truth.

Join us in showing him and his supporters that we won't stand for lies and distortions by rallying at 17 North River St. in Batavia at noon on October 9th.

For more information on the protest, contact Pete Malone of the FairTax Group at (630) 584-4548 or e-mail him at pmalone@ameritech.net.

I know that many people in their zeal for FairTax, sometimes expect others to fall and worship at the FairTax altar, swearing alliegience. When they don't, we tend to give up the ship. The "Tea Party Patriots" are just now beginning to craft the "CONTRACT FROM AMERICA" to be adopted on April 15th in DC. Thus far, they have a poll on their site to vote for the TOP TEN. FairTax is not "SPECIFICALLY" mentioned. However, there IS the codeword version, made to satisfy the occasional gainsayer. It reads :
"Adopt a simple and fair single-rate tax system by scrapping the internal revenue code and replacing it with one that is no longer than 4,543 words—the length of the original Constitution."
That doesn't PRECLUDE the FairTax, yet it doesn't endorse any other plan. Believe me, TPP knows well how powerful our grassroots org is, but they won't toss out the others. We just have to keep tossing the TEA overboard untill it's all gone! Don't give up the ship!
