What if the only tax you pay the federal government

is one you don’t have to calculate or report?

Only the FairTax:

  • treats everyone the same
  • let’s you keep your entire paycheck
  • pays you your taxes if you’re poor
  • doesn’t know whether you’re poor or rich
  • eliminates the IRS and 72,000 pages of tax code
  • costs the government less than 1% to collect
  • brings jobs back to the U.S.

Find out more here.

The following announcement is from Gary Autrey:

The Fair Tax is Alive and Well!

In Colorado there are a lot of supporters who with some organization can become an effective Grass Roots Organization.  An initial meeting to accomplish this has been set for:

Monday, June 6, 2011

At 10:30 am

1777 South Harrison Street (I-25 and Colorado Blvd NW corner)

Suite 202

We will cover:

 ·        Current Status of The Fair Tax

·        A Plan to organize Colorado’s Fair Tax Efforts

·        Plan for future meetings

Please let me know:

1.     Do you still support The Fair Tax?

2.     Can you attend this meeting?

3.     If you cannot attend this meeting, when and where would you be able to meet?

Thank you for your help,

Gary D. Autrey

I'll be doing a FairTax lecture at the Denny's at Academy and I25 on Monday Jan 23rd, 2011 at 7pm for a Colorado Springs political group.  If you live in the springs, come by and say “Hi”.

I copied this for your information:

Dear Fellow Conservative:

I have very urgent news regarding the Republican primary for U.S. Senate in Colorado. I have just learned that Arizona Senator John McCain plans to travel to Colorado this weekend to campaign AGAINST Ken Buck, the principled conservative in the race.

Ken Buck's opponent is the pick of the Washington establishment, but Buck has proven to be the pick of the people of Colorado. The old guard in Washington, aided by the liberal national media, is determined to stop the people of Colorado from sending a true conservative to the U.S. Senate.

In a prepared response, Buck's campaign consultant had this to say about McCain's campaign trip to Colorado:

"The visit comes as no surprise. McCain called on Jane to run. He rallied an army of lobbyists to raise money for her. Now, at the end of a desperate campaign, Norton's dragging Sen. McCain all the way out of her closet. He's coming to Colorado to personally attack Ken Buck."

Help SCF Support Ken Buck

Ken Buck is a rock-solid conservative and will bring positive, new ideas to the U.S. Senate. He's run a positive, grassroots campaign and is strongly supported by Tea Party activists. Ken Buck is an authentic conservative leader who will stop reckless spending, oppose amnesty, and fight for our constitutional freedoms.

As Buck came from behind and rose in the polls, his opponent began making dishonest attacks against him. When that didn't work, she began using gender politics against him, claiming voters should vote for her because she wore "high heels." When Buck jokingly told a crowd they should vote for him because he didn't wear high heels — a reference to his opponents desperate use of gender politics — she accused him of being a sexist.

This is exactly the kind of thing that Americans dislike about politics. Far too many candidates cannot seem to run on the issues and give people positive reasons to support them.

Help SCF Support Ken Buck

There are just a few days left in this race so Ken Buck needs your help right now. His opponent has the support of Washington insiders, but Ken can win with the support of the American people.

Please make a contribution to SCF so we can increase our radio ads for Ken Buck this weekend and win this critical Senate race on Tuesday.

Thanks to supporters of SCF, we've already invested over $300,000 in this race, but we need to do more to help push Buck over the top. It's not important that you give a lot; it's just important that you give something. If thousands of freedom-loving Americans pitch in, Buck will have the necessary funds to fight these attacks and win this primary.

If Ken Buck wins the primary and goes on to win in November, he will join a growing group of new Republicans in the Senate who will fight to take our country back.

Thank you for standing for conservative values and the principles of freedom.

Respectfully,
Jim DeMint
United States Senator
Chairman, Senate Conservatives Fund

There is, Look up FairTax Colorado. Around 23 people have joined that have never heard of it before. Still looking to grow so we can have a network of people to inform on the fly especially where Colorado Politicians and there taxing stances are concerned. And of course push the FairTax in CO as in Missouri.

Steve. I certainly hope that any thought of the VAT will bring the FairTax to the forefront. It's incumbent upon all of us "FairTax Supporters" to send our request to Chairman Levin (of the House Ways and Means committee) to hold hearings on the FairTax and here is the way to do it: https://secure2.convio.net/afft/site/Advocacy?cmd=display&page=...

Excellent question, Steve... I think it's an opportunity to talk about the fact that income taxes AND VATs are inherently complex, with exemptions and deductions and more room for Corporatists to do their lobbying, while the FairTax is inherently simple, much harder to manipulate (its on your receipt), frees our income from government intervention, and gives the middle class the breaks (deductibility of investment) only the wealthy get today!
Comment by Steve "Hoss" Cartwright on May 28, 2010 at 10:41am
Question - Do you think the current push for a VAT tax will create an opportunity to bring tax reform debate into the national spotlight again and help FairTax, or are the pro-VAT forces too strong and will muscle through a VAT without much real debate?
